Topic:  I have a problem with applyíng.

Hello scene.org, first I want to say you guys are doing a fantastic job offering all this free space for music and stuff. I hope you can proceed with this for years :)

But here's my problem. About a year ago I started my own little netlabel called "Fusion Records" (www.fusion-records.org). I applied here on scene.org to get some space for the released music. But I got no answer.... 4 months later I applied again, no answer. After this I applied another 2 or 3 times, but again no answer. I'm asking myself if I'm doing something wrong, or that scene.org is ignoring me?

I know you guys get alot of replies, but for me applyíng 5 times is a bit too much :) Well, I Still hope I can get some webspace...

Cheers :)

ever since archive.org has been open to host all netlabels, we have started becoming more selective on giving netlabel ftp space on scene.org.
it can take up to a 1 year to get reviewed/approved/processed and it _must_ have connections to the demoscene and/or old modtracking scene.

the long time is there to make sure your project is solid and real, new labels come and go all the time. if you cant stand on your own 2 feet you shouldnt really be running a netlabel. we have HD limitations and our primary aim is to have it available for the demoscene musicians, not the whole freemusic scene. ofcourse we try to help good projects from the freemusic scene as much as we possibly can (numia.scene.org might be a good example) but dont expect you can get an account for your netlabel on scene.org anytime soon if you have no demoscene affiliations. better apply on archive.org first. :)

Ok, thank you for the information :)

For my netlabel, I'm here to stay. I put alot of my time into it and I'm not planning to give it up just like that. I understand not every freemusic site can be hosted, and if this doesn't work out I can survive. But still, I'm really hoping to get this acount :)

Thanks again
