ever since archive.org has been open to host all netlabels, we have started becoming more selective on giving netlabel ftp space on scene.org.
it can take up to a 1 year to get reviewed/approved/processed and it _must_ have connections to the demoscene and/or old modtracking scene.
the long time is there to make sure your project is solid and real, new labels come and go all the time. if you cant stand on your own 2 feet you shouldnt really be running a netlabel. we have HD limitations and our primary aim is to have it available for the demoscene musicians, not the whole freemusic scene. ofcourse we try to help good projects from the freemusic scene as much as we possibly can (numia.scene.org might be a good example) but dont expect you can get an account for your netlabel on scene.org anytime soon if you have no demoscene affiliations. better apply on archive.org first. :)[Post edited by psenough on Thursday 30 September 2004 - 18:09] |
