The server is currently offline. Thanks to this, I can't reach Chandra either, so I can't give you a real info about the status

The 128 streams are still up, so you can listen to DJ rnd's selections at least. :)

Here's 3 different relay's from my bookmarks:
(just go to any of these sites and click LISTEN)

http://nectarine.nuclear.no:8002/
http://sik1.oulu.fi:8002/
http://nectarine.ipsyn.net:8002/

Enjoy!

Doesn't anyone have any news on the status of the websites? 3 days downtime is a _lot_, and there's not even a temporary "Sorry, we're experiencing downtime" site up...

Yeah i want to know what's up!
Is there a serious crash or just a major database fix/update?

Talk damnit, Talk! :D

apparently the ojuice & nectarine servers are down, and the only person to boot them back up (chandra) is on holidays at the moment.

tough luck, now get over it.

The websites are down but I'm listening to the 56k stream from the Nuclear relay as I type this. I had to bookmark the streams (rather than the listen.pls files) to work with my odd software, here's the full list:

# 128k
http://nectarine.nuclear.no:8002/
http://sik1.olulu.fi:8002/
http://nectarine.ipsyn.net:8002/
http://nectarine.hrx.de:8002/

# 56k
http://nectarine.nuclear.no:8006/
http://nectarine.ipsyn.net:8006/
http://sik1.olulu.fi:8006/

# 24k
http://nectarine.ipsyn.net:8000/
http://sik1.olulu.fi:8000/
http://hangar18.campus.se:8000/
http://nectarine.hrx.de:8000/

# ipv6 (128, 128, 56, 24)
##http://ipv6.lkml.org:8000/nectarine (???)
http://nectarine.ipv6.olulu.fi:8002/
http://nectarine.ipv6.olulu.fi:8006/
http://nectarine.ipv6.olulu.fi:8000/

# ogg ~24k vbr
##http://turso.net:8000/necta.ogg.m3u

I'm not sure about the IPv6 streams (didn't compile it into my Linux kernel) and the ogg vorbis stream doesn'tr seem to work for me, but I think I tested all the others.

Oh, look, scene.org has forums...

Ok here's the way this works. Basically the webserver is run by Chandra (ref: Unlock's first comment. See why he mentioned that?) And, if it's down, then, it's down. There IS no backup web server, unless someone messes with the DNS, which would be bad.

Yes and Mr Young would need to get ahold of Chandra to get the site back up.

Now, the streaming - that runs off a different server apparently, which is why DJ Randomly is pumping out the tunes (:

And I think we all know that DJ Randomly is the B()MB (:

You can also always find someone in #scenemusic on ircnet, and several of the admins hang there, including Mr Young quite often. And several other admins are there as well, tho some of us not quite as often as we used to be due to, well, stuff. And things.

Yes, and that appears to be in the topic on #scenemusic as well, now that I've gone back in there.

And as I was just asked, YES, a stream is up, I'm currently listening to nectarine.ipsyn.net:8000 ...

I figure everyone already knows, but Nectarine and ojuice came back online this morning. (And just in time for Nectarine's 4th birthday.)
