I don't know where I am or what I'm doing here, but the more I look around, REGARDLESS of not finding any answers whatsoever, the more fascinated I am becoming O.O it's like some kind of SICKNESS.

My having-no-idea what 'scene' refers to or what a demo is supposed to be demonstrating has driven me as far as making a user name and making me post here!! SO FAR, the people involved sound interesting and extremely creative.

It's not possible to have a page with absolutely no "this is who we are and this is what we do" info that is so INTERESTING without a huge amount of creativity behind it--I think I have some kind of subliminal sense that this place is making tingly VERY MUCH.

This is perhaps akin to the phenomenon when you have someone staring up at a building on the street... people will just 'congeal' and start staring TOO, at first wondering what the first person was looking at, then later wondering what everybody ELSE is looking at. I am observing here a vast multitude of colorful, vibrant personalities all talking and SOUNDING like they know what they're talking about, and it's driving me MAD not knowing what anybody is saying! x_x

So if I can maintain my patience... I would like to find out what the heck this is all here for.

Very simple really. It's about using computing devices to express our identity and pride. It's about being a producer and not a consumer. It's about sharing. Sharing our work, and our values. It's about doing things hard, lean and fast. It's about having fun. It's about motivating each others with our creativity and arrogance. It's about invading places we are not supposed to invade. It's about doing things useless with what is supposed to be only functional. It's about caring about what you do, not who you are.

_-_-__, I do believe you have stated the essence of exactly what my initial observations have led me to hope. My regret that I lack the knowledge to contribute to your community is far superseded by my joy at its very existence. This is a stronghold of creativity and original thought, and I admire its structure specifically for the fact that there is no foothold for impatient, greedy posers.
This the purest concrete definition of "either you get it, or you don't" that I have ever had the pleasure to discover.

I now understand. Demonstrations to one another and to the self, if only for the sake of exploration and inspiration--it is a beautiful example of what is still good about humanity... that 'spark' of curiosity that drives us all. I applaud you!

Any further than that into the what, the why, and the how, and I will be unable to continue my post without telling you even more of what you already know.

Peace and happy coding!
