Hi there,
I've noticed that mac.scene.org has been down for 6-12 months now. I used to run macscene.org once upon a time and miss the mac demo portal.

If the previous maintainer (Stefan) isn't available to host it, I'd like to apply to get the dns entries pointed to my website to ensure it stays alive.

i really enjoy the mac demos and if there is any help that i can give 2 you 4 let it run again or keep help running, let me know!

Hi,

I used to host mac.scene.org, and appologize for the long downtime ( 7 months already :-( )

The reason is that I've moved and the machine that used to run it got some strange hardware errors while I moved and I haven't been able to completely recover the site yet.

DaD1916, what are you plans if you decide to host it? Would you be interested in trying to help me get the old site running again (I've got the data intact, it's just the machine that's acting wierd).. My problem is mainly time, it shouldn't be too hard to get it up and running again.

If nothing else happens I'll try to get the site up and running again, I feel a bit ashamed that 7 months have passed this quickly.. real life has this tendency to keep me occupied :-/

7 months downtime is quite a bit but you did well when the site was alive. I'd be happy to share the responsibility with you if you have the time. If not then I'm open to any offers (like Ch1pWarr1or) above.

IF I was given the responsibility of hosting the site I'd focus on a new design encompassing the old features ( forum, prod db etc..). The production db worked well (php I hope?). I have solid hosting also.

So, If you have the time I'd be happy to share. If not I'd love to get your blessing to continue the project.

Sorry that it's been taking so long, I'm getting the site back up running today.

Have you already started working on a new layout / design that you would like to use, or would you start doing something from scratch if the administration is transfered to you?
