I said in a previous post that the xmas compo will be held one way or another this year.. well this is the 'another'.
Since it doesn't look like Ript/Disaster Area is going to organise the xmas compo again this year, we at Kaolin decided we'd step in and run it for him. This is not us attempting to take over his compo, but rather just trying to keep the tradition alive.
Last year was a bit of a disappointment entry wise (with only entries from Disaster Area and Kaolin). Hopefully by us organising the competition again this year we can at least encourage some people to just think about making an entry. If by the deadline no entries come out of this then I'm quite content in the fact that at lesat everyone in Australia had the opportunity to try. Kaolin will still be doing our own xmas demo regardless :)
Some quick details:
- Deadline is 19th December 2005, voting (if required) will commence a couple of days later.
- This is an online competition, with entries welcome from anywhere in the world. Although obviously I'd prefer you were Australian :)
- Must contain some sort of christmas related content.
- Maximum 3mb compressed entries.
- Any platform you want, but keep in mind that people wont vote for something they can't run.
- Entries must not have been released elsewhere.

big thanks to you / kaolin for keeping the compo happening!! Hope there has been lots of interest.
Sadly i haven't been able to enter (as only have a couple of not very demo'ish prods that might just scrape into a 'wild' category).. but i'm delving into coding realms as we speak - so maybe next year!)

Let me know via email (mdlaurie at gmail com) if there are any troubles. Don't try attaching the entry to an email to that address though, apparently gmail flat-out rejects emails with exe attachments (even in zip files).
All entries will be let loose to the public on Saturday night GMT+10. | | |
