Katoomba (about 100km west of Sydney)

When:
Saturday, 17th July

Some of the topics to be covered:
- history of disk copy protection methods (and their circumvention)
- tcp/ip applications on the c64 & Apple ][
- whatever *you* decide to present :-)

We have a venue :-)

I've been able to secure one of the rooms at the Wentworth Falls School of Arts, which will seat up to 30 people without drama, although it's DIY A/V.

It's a 3 minute walk from Wentworth Falls train station, which is about 10 minutes by train from Katoomba. I expect we'll finish about at the hall about 6:00, then jump a train to Katoomba for dinner and afters.

3 weeks to go...

I've been using TiNKeRCoN as an excuse to get some new toys under the guise of 'research' for. So far I've got hold of:
* a pair of NadaNet adapters
* an IDE64
* JiffyDOS

with more stuff arriving daily...

ps. I maaay have something to present if I can get my EPROM writer working... but then again I might just bring it with me as I'm sure someone there would get it workin! Oh, BTW, there was an SD card left after Beach Party from a Ultimate1541... I assume this belongs to someone.

Hey cTrix, if you can get to the USA, the surely you can get to NSW :-)

I can provide an eprom writer.

And I suspect the SD card is mine - does it have a d64 with WebNoter on it?

Yep - the SD is yours. I'll bring it up if I am able to come, else send it with Life in Hell or Ozzy.

Getting to Sydney is no probs - it's just the time out from working on the piles of wood, acoustisorb, and rolls of material which were supposed to be mounted on my studio wall last week. I'll have a talk to the guys tonight and see if I can convince myself to buy an impulse flight :-P
