 | | Topic: | What software is the defacto now for music composition? | | | Hi guys. Longtime scener here who is looking to get back into a bit of composition, but has no clue about the current music landscape.
Have worked in ST3 and FT2 mainly in years gone by and loved them dearly. Did have a play with Buzz some years back which was pretty cool but I couldn't quite gell with it for some reason.
What does everyone use nowerdays? Is it just normal MIDI sequencers like Cubase now?
Thanks | | |
| Renoise is the most popular tracker out there nowadays. For those still in an Impulse Tracker mood, we have Schism Tracker.
Otherwise the runner up in terms of popularity would be Ableton Live ;) | | |
| | If you want to use something that the modules are playable in most players, then others besides Renoise may be preferable. MadTracker ][ and ModPlug Tracker are almost as advanced. | | |
