*Vote For The Best Demos of 201006 Jan 2011
The Scene.org Awards 2011 Public Choice voting is now open!

Scene.org has now opened the voting for the Public Choice category, where you can vote for your favourite demoscene production of the past year. This year, the Scene.org Awards committee has also made some changes to the voting procedure, giving more power to the public.

The voting for Public Choice will be done in two rounds - the first round opened today, where you can choose between all of the publicly nominated productions, or add your own favorite! The first voting round will determine which demos will go on to the second and final round. Voting for final round opens on February the 14th, and the final winner will be selected and presented at the award ceremony taking place at The Gathering in Hamar, Norway on Friday the 22nd of April, 2011. To vote in the Public Choice category, simply go to http://awards.scene.org/, select your favourite demo, and press "Submit vote" at the bottom. A SceneID account is required to verify your vote.

*Scene.org Awards 2011 - time to move!01 Sep 2010
The Scene.org Awards will return in 2011, but after having the event at the same location for 8 years, the time has come for us to move and renew ourselves. We are delighted to announce that next years award ceremony will be held at The Gathering in Norway.

Scene.org has cooperated with The Gathering for many years, and the move is a logical extension of that relationship, as well as a huge opportunity to reach a whole new audience with the awards and to take them to the next level. The decision to change the location of the ceremony is the result of careful consideration and we couldn't be happier about it.

We're still early in the planning process and we will keep you all informed when more details are available. We have some awesome things planned, and we can't wait to share them with all of you - stay tuned!

*8th Annual Scene.org Awards nominees17 Mar 2010
Rejoice! After a long wait we're proud to present the nominees for the 8th Annual Scene.org Awards! Along with the usual suspects, we've introduced a wholly new award category for the Best Technical Achievement. This category highlights productions that are pushing the limits of a platform, size coding - or simply making the impossible possible.

The prize giving ceremony for the 8th Annual Scene.org Awards takes place on Saturday 3rd of April, 2010 simultaneously at the Breakpoint and The Gathering demoparties. See you there!

*Autumn parties & releases07 Dec 2009
We've been lagging a bit behind on announcing the latest releases in the news section. However since Assembly there's been a steady flow of releases coming in - here's a short checklist of demo parties held since then: Finnish Amiga Party, Dreamhack, Kindergarden, Alternative Party, Geekcamp, Syntax, Chaos Constructions, TRSAC, Little Computer People, Stream, Main, Function, Sundown, Riverwash, Compusphere and Buenzli.

*Scene.org Awards newsflash09 Nov 2009
Good news, everyone! The long awaited world tour has ended and the Scene.org Awards prize statues have returned home safely. All the winners will be contacted shortly and the prizes are shipped to the final destinations in the coming weeks.

There's also bad news: The Scene.org Awards might not take place in 2010. We're seriously lacking resources and manpower in organizing another edition of Scene.org Awards, and unless we overcome these obstacles we'll have to cancel the event for next year. For more information and follow-up discussion, visit the Scene.org forums.

*Scene.org Awards over - feedback wanted!17 Apr 2009
The dust has settled down and the 7th Annual Scene.org Awards is over. Congratulations to all the awarded ones! We'd like to thank also once more our sponsors Assembly and The Gathering demoparties for their support, as well as Breakpoint for providing the venue for the Scene.org Awards prize giving ceremony. We really couldn't do this without all of your support!

Last but not least, we'd like to hear your thoughts on the 7th Annual Scene.org Awards. To do so, please head on to our survey page. Answering the poll shouldn't take more than a minute or two - and remember, all feedback counts. Thank you!

*Breakpoint live streaming05 Apr 2009
Scene.org is proud to announce that it is sponsoring live streaming from the Breakpoint demo party this Easter. Scene.org is contributing with both financial and technical aid to bring both the general coverage of Breakpoint as well as the Scene.org Awards show to people who cannot attend the event itself.
